Emcore deploys CPV system in China

Emcore Corporation has deployed its first concentrated photovolataics (CPV) system in China with the XinAo Group.
 
As part of an earlier agreement, the 50 kilowatt (kW) test and evaluation system is fully installed and operational, and is producing power in accordance with specifications.
 

HCPV system developed in Taiwan

Taiwanese company Spirox Corporation recently installed a 5KW (kilowatt) pilot high-concentration photovoltaic (HCPV) system on the campus of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) located in southern Taiwan. According to local media, Spirox has cooperated with the Department of Electrical Engineering and R&D Foundation under NCKU to develop the HCPV system.
