OPEL International Inc.’s Spanish partner BETASOL has obtained a bank guarantee of more than US $1,500,000 (1,187,500 €) for a new HCPV solar project.
As a result, BETASOL has applied for permits to build a new utility grade solar farm.
The solar farm will provide a total of 2.375 megawatts (MW) of solar power to the region, generated by solar high concentration photovoltaic panels on dual axis tracking systems.
OPEL will supply the grid farm installation with its original design Mk-I high concentration photovoltaic panels mounted on dual axis trackers manufactured by OPEL.
OPEL started supplying its HCPV panels to build a utility grade solar power plant of 440 kilowatt (kW) in Spain under an agreement with BETASOL earlier this year.
The company has also set up OPL Solar Europe, a limited liability company headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. The company, a fully-owned subsidiary of OPEL, will function as the hub of all its solar projects, partnerships, and joint ventures in the European continent.
