WATTPIC, is present (Stand B4) in the “All Energy” conference, taking place the 7th and 8th of October in Melbourne, Australia.
The participation by WATTPIC within this conference can be placed in the context of the companies international expansion. The last week of September WATTPIC was present at the 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference, held in Hamburg, Germany. The last week of October WATTPIC will also be participating at the main solar conference in USA, the Solar Power International 2009, to be held in Anaheim in California from 27 to 29 October.
WATTPIC´s internationalization process is actually focused on the North American market, however the European countries is not ignored, especially the countries around the Mediterranean area. In Australia WATTPIC focuses at business development for projects in which solar tracking installations and implementing distributed generation technology.
About WATTPIC
WATTPIC is a Spanish company, specialized in solar tracking technology and smart grids.
WATTPIC was finalist in two recent editions of the Barcelona Entrepreneur awards as company with the highest growth potential (2007 y 2008).
The technology and entrepreneur capacity from WATTPIC come guaranteed by the various patents requested and obtained and the participation in different R&D projects at national and European level.
WATTPIC is member and co-founder of the Catalan Photovoltaic Cluster. WATTPIC is partner within ASIF, the Spanish national solar industry association. WATTPIC collaborates with SECARTYS and is recognised as technology developing company by the national association of European innovating companies (CEEIs - Business and Innovation Centres, BICs).
WATTPIC has its headquarter in Barcelona and disposes over a technology centre in Girona (Spain) and an international branch in Amsterdam (Netherlands).
The technical innovation in solar tracking of WATTPIC’s FSA TM System, based on the weather wane effect, allow our tracking systems to cope with the hardest wind conditions (over 155 km/h recorded).
This reliability has been demonstrated in the several MW of solar plants operating in Spain since 2007, in which there has been no single incident caused by strong winds yet, having experienced at the same time an average increase in production of 43% compared to the equivalents fixed installations. A confirmation of the resistance of our trackers, as well as an obvious benefit for our customers, is the fact that insurance premiums that apply to the installations based on our solar trackers are similar to those applied to fix solar installations.
In addition to the use o the weather wane effect, the design optimization of our systems reduce O&M costs by minimizing the risk of mechanical breakage and reduction of material fatigue.
Thanks to all these benefits, brought by WATTPIC’s proprietary technology, our customers succeed to reduce significantly the cost of solar generated kWh and maximize the rate of return from their solar plant investment.

The bow tie is a fashion
The bow tie is a fashion accessory, popularly worn with other formal attire, such as suits or dinner jackets. Bow Ties come in different sizes and styles and the true "black tie" experts will know the importance of pairing the bow tie size to the size of his neck and face to create a proportionally balanced look. The four most common bow tie styles are:
• Large Butterfly Bow Tie
• Classic Bow Tie (Thistle of Semi-Butterfly)
• Narrow Bow Ties (Batwing Bows) and
• Bow Ties with Pointed Ends
This makes a lot of sense
